By doing gentle massage on the organ, it can release the muscular-skeletal pain and help to stabilize the body.This can be an important piece in your recovery as visceral massage addresses the root source of the problem.
Neuromuscular Therapy: Deep-tissue massage focusing on muscles and posture imbalances. This work is corrective in nature and is often used in injury and rehab recovery to improve posture and repetitive-use injuries. The massage pressure used is catered to your comfort level.
Myofascial Release: Addresses the muscles and the fascia. Fascia is a tough elastic-like sheathe of connective tissue that runs throughout your entire body. Fascia can get tight or adhere to anything in the body. Massage can be very helpful with the common hip pain, low-back pain, and swelling that often occur during pregnancy. It can be very helpful in alleviating pain from your changing body while pregnant. We also focus on bringing the pelvis and low back as close to neutral as possible through soft-tissue massage. Prenatal massage may make it easier for the baby during delivery so there are fewer barriers for the baby to run into as it moves through the birth canal. This type of massage may also make delivery easier for the mother. You can receive massage throughout your entire pregnancy. During the first three months, there are a few pressure points in the feet and lower leg that are avoided.
Infant Massage: The birth process and the frequent falls that your baby experiences while learning to crawl and walk can all impact the body.It is better to address the problems before they become life-long issues.Things to look for indicating that your baby needs treatment:irritability, inconsolable crying, sleep disturbances, sucking problems, decreased range of motion of spine and limbs, favors turning head only one way, sleeping one way, or rolling one way, misshaped head, missing or delayed developmental milestones,etc.Keep in mind your baby cannot communicate with you, nor does the baby really understand what they are feeling. There may be physiological corrections that need to be made to ease your baby’s discomfort and other symptoms.By doing very gentle corrective massage, many of these symptoms may be alleviated or minimized.
